When requesting to add the epg for certain channels it is important that you give some important information.

Since we do not have access to all the satellites even in Europe we cannot identify the correct channel to link the epg to. Even sometimes a particular channel is 4 to 5 times available on the same satelite. When you do not have acces to that particular sat you cannot identify which is the correct one for the package.

In order to do this we need the channel information in the form of for instance

RaiSat Premium 1:0:1:cea:1518:013e:820000:0:0:0:

The easiest way to obtain this information is using Dreamset or Dreambox edit
Procedure works for both the e1 and e2 boxes.

1. Start dreamset or dreamboxedit on your PC.
2. Connect to your dreambox.
3. download the settings of your dreambox to the program.
4. Create a bouquet / Setting list in Dreamset / Dreamboxedit
5. Put in this bouquet all the channels where you want epg from.
6. Delete all the other bouquet / Settings Lists
7. Save this info to an dir on your PC.
8. Zip or Rar this dir and post this info

This will give us the needed info.

Important: do not upload this setting list to your dreambox as this will overwrite the existing settinglist in your dreambox.

The above method of obtaining the service ref info, although still valid, is a bit old.

A more user friendly method is using the webif.

Open the webif.

Before or below channel name (depending on the layout) there is an icon to stream the channel.

Click on it, but when requested what action to take, chose save the file.

This file contains all the info I need for this channel.

You can do the same with a bouquet.

In the classic OWIF, click on the stream picon next to the bouquetname.

In the Modern interface, go to the Bouqueteditor an click on the Hamburger symbol next to the Bouquetname.

Save also the file instead of opening it in VLC.

Send me the file.  This contains all the channel names and service references I need.

One word about scanning for channels:

Service refs like:

1_0_1_39_2_1_1862FA3_0_0_0

are scanned with a wrong setting.

Scan sat, cable or DVB-T with the option active (default value)

Ignore DVB-S namespace sub-netwerk : On

Ignore DVB-C namespace sub-netwerk : On

Ignore DVB-T namespace sub-netwerk : On

For a single reference use the following:

In the web interface, right-lick on channel name, then copy the link. It will give you something like "javascript:zapChannel('1:0:19:5225:C99:3:EB0000:0:0:0:', 'NPO1 HD');" which gives you both the service reference and the channel name.
