Everyone can offer us a patch to upgrade e.g. Epgfresh when this is required and as long it does not violate a schwerkraft license when this is required for e2openplugins...

This is an OpenPLi issue:

They are using outdated versions of everything, especially AutoTimer and EPGRefresh.

I am a little unsure how you mean?

...

The issue is solved. Thanks SpaceRat for pointing out the direction.

If any other user is interested to know what to do I give a short instruction:

There is a newer version of AutoTimer and it's (of cource) awailable in this forum. At the moment version 1.7 works.

Follow the link to AutoTimer mod by Dima73 and download version 1.7 (Thank you Dima73!)

Download the pack and save it.

Run a backup of your software for example by using the plugin BackupSuite.

Uninstall the original plugin of AutoTimer

Install the new version you just downloaded.

Restart enigma

Now OpenWebif can update AutoTimer entries!

I'm not sure about if this version is really sufficient.
You could try the "Simulate" feature, that one was one of the picky ones.
I can't try anymore as I've removed OpenPLi from all boxes and replaced it by OpenATV 4.2.

Dima73 has also done a "mod" version of EPGRefresh (You can find it here), but that one isn't up to date enough to offer all the functionality either.

To be honest, even oe-a git and schwerkraft git didn't contain all the necessary fixes for the AutoTimer and EPGRefresh functionality in OpenWebif to work, but they now do.

Autotimer on Schwerkraft has a licence that restricts it's use to DMM hardware. So we can't use that version. Like so many other things on there.

I know a lot of people don't give a **** about that, but we play by the book. And that is why we can't merge it's updates, we use the last version that was available before the licence changed.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Dima79:s AutoTimer mod ver 1.7 works well with OpenWebIf and it passes the "Simulate test" without any problems (running on a Vu+ Solo2).

So far, I have not got into trouble with the stock version of EPGRefresh so I keep the version included in the PLI-distribution for now.

Can you guys delete recordings using Open Webif? I'm using OpenPLi from a few days ago on my ET9000 and it seems impossible.

Is this also related to what SpaceRat is constantly talking about?

Sorry, but I can't try anymore, as I'm using OpenATV, which uses the oe-a fork of OpenWebif.

In OpenATV 4.2 it works:
All files related to the recording get renamed to *.del and deleted on reboot.

Is this also related to what SpaceRat is constantly talking about?

In this case it would be unlikely.
Deleting a recording doesn't rely on any plugin.

Strange. Now it is working with a nice pop-up screen.

Could it be that it was impossible to delete a recording while another recording was taking place? I have a USB disk.

Default is change from No to Yes :-(

Solution:

Go with your remotecontrol to menu-Plugins-Openwebif and set “Enable HTTP Authentication” on No.

Perhaps because E2 does it the same way:

Using a trash dir is just an EMC option.

Nope, it is a (default) PLi option and has been so for ages.

Nope,

Yepp.

OpenPLi isn't the center of the world, although its devs believe that.
I didn't write the "delete recording" routine, but I probably would have done it the same way. If there is a way to do it universally, there is no reason not to do it universally.
