Hey!

As the topic says, the original DMM image just recently added so you can add HTTP streams directly in Bouquets list, is this now added in openpli and if so which version and how does one do it?

weird, as we do not even support specifying pids.
Any pid you might add to the stream url is simply ignored.

pids are parsed from pmt.
And if you use sid 0, the first pmt found in the stream will be used.

Hi,

this one works very well, cross-tsted between two Xtrends LAN as Network backbone and both sides using latest OpenPLI E2.

As Userbouquet:

When the stream comes from E1 openpli .... with no zapstream disabled no matter what i specify in the SID it not open!!!!
If i dont specify PIds after that just subtitle or audio is missing! So it seems PIDs are not ignored at least with E1 stream with no zapstream option

It does mean, e1 zapstream does not stream a vaild PMT!!! zapstream is just using the single ES coming from demux of e1, and so you must enter a vaild SID,Video-PID Audio PID at the receiving site!

if i put this:
#SERVICE 1:0:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http://9x.1xx.1xx.1xx:31339/0,00a2,0106,016a,01ce,01cf it works .. E2 see the subtitle streams but if i select nothing happen
If i put this:
#SERVICE 1:0:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http://9x.1xx.1xx.1xx:31339/0,00a2,0106,016a,01ce,01cf,032a all works correct! can someone explain?

This works ok BUT EPG is not visible in Channel Selection list. EPG is visible in INFOBAR though... Strange. I guess this is a bug.

What about streaming non-TS urls? It works quite well when it is a Transport Stream URL but when you are connecting to a non-TS mpeg4 part 10 stream it just says nothing found in PAT.

non-ts has to be handled by serviceref type 4097

Im guessing one of the 0's here is the serviceref type.. do you know which one?
Will it really work with 4097? I saw another post by you pieterg that mentions that 4097 is servicemp3

The first field is the serviceref type.
And indeed 4097 is 'servicemp3'.
The name is misleading, it has nothing to do with mp3.
This service controls a gstreamer pipeline, which plays 'everything' which is not TS.

Thanks for your quick replies pieterg.
I tried the following

#SERVICE 4097:0:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//XXXXX
4097 makes the service not show up in the bouquet list. Am I doing something wrong?
Do you know if there is a good place for a list of these serviceref?

you are running the latest openpli version?
We should be accepting any serviceref type in the bouquets nowadays.
In the past, 4097 would have been filtered/ignored.

I guess that's probably it Im running something from early December. Do you know when this changed?

I tried a simple HTTP AUTH (http://username:password@...) in the URL btw with a TS stream now. There seems not to be support for HTTP Auth, we should perhaps code that in, the support should be basic and not very hard to do.

you need to use a recent openpli version, quite sure we weren't yet working on streaming support back in december.

http auth indeed has not been implemented. That would have to be done in the eHttpStream class.

Pieterg, can you check how we could attach EPG to IPTV channels?

#SERVICE 1:0:1:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx%3aXXXX/udp/239.1.1.115%3a5000
#DESCRIPTION SLO 1

Here is example. Problem is that EPG Import detects whole SERVICE reference (1:0:1:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx%3aXXXX/udp/239.1.1.115%3a5000) and not only 1:0:1:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:

I guess EPG-Import should be modified so it would automatically strip name fields from service reference (http%3a//xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx%3aXXXX/udp/239.1.1.115%3a5000). The only question is now, how to distinguish one stream from another, so we can attach EPG to stream. Idea is that one number in service reference should be changable. For example: 1:0:1:2:0:0:0:0:0:0: ; 1:0:1:3:0:0:0:0:0:0:
In this way EPG-Import would know which EPG data go to which channel. I hope you understand :)
