OpenPLI is not looking for picons in /media/hdd. I think it should?

Picon must be set in a folder called ./picon

 

So either in:

 

/usr/share/enigma2/picon  (place them here only if your STB has a big flash and they will be erased when you flash it by USB!)

/media/usb/picon

/media/hdd/picon

/media/cf/picon

...

 

But it will stay in the first picon folder that it found, so place all your picons in one and only one place and don't create empty ./picon folder anywhere else.

If I put them in /usr/share/enigma2/picon they are working,

but I tried putting them in /media/hdd/picon and enigma doesn't find them.

Actually /media/hdd is symlink to /media/net/dreambox_FSERVER because its network location. dreambox_FSERVER mount is set "Use as HDD replacement"

Maybe that's the problem?

 

When I do ls /media/hdd/picon I see my picon files there.

Delete the  /usr/share/enigma2/picon folder otherwise it won't search on /media/hdd/picon

Hello,

 

I hope someone can help me.

I downloaded the picon plugin "snp-full 100x60-86x46.dark.on.white (2016-08-17)".

I got picons for my channels but a few channels have no picons anyway. These are mainly local channels.

 

What is the best way to get picons for these channels as well :

 

1. Get in touch with the responsible person of the plugin (who ?) and provide them names + service references of the channels ?

2. Or try to insert the missing picons "manually" ?

 

I have to say that I tried to insert the picons manually. I opened DCC and went to the file where all the picons are. I created a new simlink (same process as for the other channels picons) and added a picon found on the internet.

That way seems not to work. I get no picon on the channel.

 

the picon found on the internet has dimension : 110x70 is that the reason it doesn't appear ?

I removed  /usr/share/enigma2/picon directory and OpenPLI cannot find my picons in /media/hdd/picon

 

/media/hdd is symlink to cifs share.

Could somebody tell me how to create a symlink?

 

Now I use service references for name of picon files and they are in media/usb/picons folder.

 

For e.g. there's a png file in media/usb/picons/eurosport2.png and there are more channels which use this file.

 

So how can I assign a png file for more channels?

There are two channels which use this picon. They service references are 1_0_19_7E0_AF2_BB_E080000_0_0_0 and 1_0_19_232A_9_1111_E08AE69_0_0_0.

 

Could you write me an example for this?

Is the USB stick using ext or fat32 file system

for openpli6 my picon folder is in media/hdd which is flash storage pen drive 32gb &  picon displays ok on info bar without need for symlink & also in service chs list , any storage media should be initialized from fat32 to ext3 format by th image , use option hard disk initialization , but first format ur usb flash to fat32 then insert it
