Hi Abu,

thank you! What is the difference between your plugin and the one OE-A uses? (I use the OE-A one b.t.w.)

RadXnl,

Then offer us a bb that builds it from oe-a.... - or do we need to add tons of patches because we differ (slightly) from oe-a images....

I like the stuff the plugin is doing... but I'm not fully agree with the way it is made... ;)

It is not my plugin, it is LraiZer's plugin. I was involved in the initial testing of it. I gave a few suggestions along the way.

With the encryption changes and other official provider changes, I started making some edits to the bits I understand while LraiZer was away. Some changes were made to make wording as simple as possible and to avoid some of the repetitive questions.

PaphosAl also contributed to some of the the recent changes.

The channel data for 28.2, is available on almost all 28.2 TPs. AB 28.2 functions while on any 28.2 channel, ABM uses the defined TP. This and the fact that AB 28.2 only does 28.2 (ABM does several more) are the biggest difference.

The bitbake file for Lraizer's plugin, Autobouquets 28.2 is here

https://github.com/L...obouquets-e2.bb

It will build the binary for the receiver's architecture.

Please do not confuse with OE-Alliance AutoBouquetsMaker

Over the past 2-3 years since AB was added to 3rd Party feed, the difference between AB unique features that were not avialable as ABM features has become much less. Huevos has added most of the features that were only available in AB into oe-a ABM. The main remaining differences still, are that AB can do a background scan on any 28.2e service on single tuner box so as not to interupt viewing. ABM requires you to zap away from viewing service while scanning on single turner box. It comes down to user familiarity, preference and choice as to whether users are curretly using AB or ABM, but most say they find AB the easier plugin to use as ABM is too complex for them so have remained loyal to AB as this was created before current ABM..

Localization plugin is not provided?

Dimitrij added Russian localization to the autobouquets plugin some weeks ago in the sources on github, but the e2openplugins pull request to utilize this localization commit has not been merged yet in  e2openplugins.

How is e2openplugins managed?

Do we need push access on the e2openplugins folder to update and bump the autobouquets bitbake file ourselves or is there a dedicated moderator for this e2openplugins bitbake folder that should be monitoring outstanding pull requests? the pull request for this commint is 3 weeks old and is still open and not merged or closed without merge?

thanks.

The main difference between the two is that AB only scans UK-services on 28.2E while ABM supports many providers on a number of satellites.

@LraiZer: yes it's true we're not as active on e2openplugins as we should be. The good news is that you now can commit them yourself :)

The Localization commits are not yet being detected and updated in the plugin in the feeds, or any other recent E2OpenPlugin changes to other plugins either. How are the feeds updated with latest changes in e2openplugins?

I have downloaded todays OpenPLi WetekPlay image and the plugins for both autobouquets and autobouquetsmaker are over a month old still, and are from the build just before they were moved from the openpli-oe-core enigma2-plugins to the new e2openplugins location.

Is this because the enigma2 depend has been removed from ALL the e2openplugins, so that no e2openplugins are re-built anymore in this commit? https://github.com/E...46f9f0ece231def

Or is because package PR = "r0" in packagegroup-openplugins.bb is not changed after plugins were added?

Thanks for any info on the best way to auto update an e2openplugin now.

OpenPLi does not use the "master" branch, but the "upstream" branch. Most of the time it will be sufficient to merge master into upstream, or cherry-pick your changes.

I love this plugin from LraiZer, but on my 4K in the menu I can not find CPU Architecture type so I can put in ARM.

It's working without that also but I see it here that Abu Baniaz has explained for wetek and 4K users to put ARM in CPU Architecture

I simply do not have that in my menu in this plugin.

Thank you

The version on the plugin download section is not the standalone version where there are different binary reader files. It is compiled based on architecture of receivers for which image is being built.

I.e
If you install on a Wetek or Solo4K, you will only have one reader which only works on the Arm CPU.
