I cannot communicate with the box (192.168.0.17)

if I do "ping 192.168.0.17" in a MS Dos box, I get no answer.

The receiver does not show up as connected at the router UI (192.168.0.1)

Hi Dimitrij,

I am making a last attempt to install the plugin as I am happy with most of the parameters of the OpenPLI but I still conclude that the plugin does not work.

I made the following in DCC / Telnet:

opkg update

cd /tmp

[put plugin version 1.2 in /var/tmp]

opkg install enigma2....ipk

[got 2 lines about installation and configuration]

init 4

enigma2

I started recording of TF1 on Eutelsat 5WA

I can only select the programs from the same transponder, the other ones are grey.

What do you suggest?

No changes, unfortunately.

In DCC, I did opkg update and then ...

I tune to Das Erste (11493H on 19.2°east)

If I press "Channel +", it switched to Arte which is on the same frequency and not to ZDF which is on 11361H ands remains grey.

User manual says (page 15) : In case you only have one satellite cable, connect it to LNB2 input (I have this here) Tuner B is the main tuner with disecq A/B/C/D. Tuner A is a loopthrough of B. When connected to LNB2 and I set tuner A as main tuner and tuner B as loopthrough there is no signal. http://vuplus.com/ma...ual_English.pdf

After another reboot, it's now working fine without inverting tuner A and B. As a test I am recording France 3 (11555V) and watching TF1. It works great. Thanks Dimitrij.

Hi,

Just for my information, will this plugin be installed automatically in OpenPLi for all the the VU+ Solo2 or will end-users still need to install it manually (or better from the OpenPLi feed)?

I've added the plugin to the vusolo2 feed.

But it won't be installed by default in the image for the Solo2?

If not this will again raise questions about this issue on the forum. So I think that for the Solo2 this should be pre-installed in the image, just my 2 cents.

Why it should be pre-installed on solo2?
Maybe I miss something, but if I have a receiver with two tuners, why by default I should connected to sat only one of them?
I have connected both tuners and I have not seen some kind of problem to use them both without this hack on my solo2.

Because it enables a normal option of the box.

I have connected both tuners and I have not seen some kind of problem to use them both without this hack on my solo2.

Because for exemple French Canal(sat) arranges its channel to be in the same quadrant on Astra 19.2E, so with one single cable and internal loop through between the tuner, you can record and watch another channel but this is not working on Solo2.

So not everybody connect a cable per tuner, many people use loop through option and this one is not working in standard OpenPLi image.

So end-use will need to install this module specifically on VU+ Solo2 otherwise it simply doesn't work, the end-user is stuck on the same TP while normally it should be allowed to watch any channels in the same quadrant.

So yes, this sounds like another VU+ driver bug and should be fixed by VU+ but since an external plugin solved it, why not install it by default on Solo2.  If you have 2 cables this won't change anything for you, but this will ease OpenPLi VU+ Solo2 end-users... or they will turn to another image where it is working by default.

Or do I miss that this plugin prevent 2 independant tuners from working, so yes in this case this should remains as an optional package.

I don't own a Solo2 myself so I cannot test it.

I am not in favour of installing it by default. It's better to only workaround defeciencies, not hide them.
