Good evening

I have the following problem aqnd hope to get help here in this forum

When trying to watch a channel via internet streaming, the box replies with a green screen and reboots.

The channel was added with dreamboxedit to the STB .

On the green screen it reads something like : send log file to openpli.org, which log file is meant and in which folder is this file located ?

Thanks a lot in advance for support , im using openpli image for several years now on DM7000 and DM8000 without any issues or errors and really hope, i can fix this problem with your help

Best regards

Derek

Have you perhaps edited your IPTV file with Windows Notepad?

Hello and thanks for your reply

I do not have any iptv file, i just put the stream url via dreamboxedit under : iptv and other streaming services and saved in a bouquet.  Than uploaded to dreambox and restarted enigma .

Remove the file with the corrupted entry from your Dreambox using an FTP client.

By the way, the culprit file must be in /etc/enigma2/.

Thanks for your reply too Robinson

Which corrupted file you are referring to ?

I checked etc/enigma2 folder now, and there is no iptv file in it .

Check manually, it is one of the userbouquets.

Alternatively, you can delete the IPTV list by DreamboxEdit and upload it again without IPTV.

Then you can try and find a more reliable IPTV bouquet list on the internet or at least do not use the entry that corrupted your file.

I think there was a misunderstanding, my STB works fine with all sat channels.

It is only if i try to watch the internet stream it crashes !

The url you are trying has no streams available. Also the mobile stream http://xtvexyux.api....0/playlist.m3u8 is not available too.

So what you are trying actually with the url http://www.livestream.com/tvexyu is serving HTML to GStreamer...

Yes, you need a "compartible" stream url, not just an url that points to a web page that includes a player.

Usually big sites live livestream.com use propiertary protocol to make viewing imposible to other players, because other players dont display ads, etc, etc.

Good morning athoik and thanks again for helping

I downloaded and installed the DreamMediathek plugin and tried the embedded channels , with the same result . .Green screen  reading : ... encountered software error and box will reboot in 10 seconds etc.

Which files are responsible for this function and is it possible to manually reinstall these files without damaging the entire system ?

i would not mind to flash the box again ,but i do have a lot recorded movies on my DM8000 and would like to save myself from transferring to an external hdd and than resending back to the box .

It is a segfault... Usually we cannot help you when with only a log file in case the box crashes with a segfault.... The way that it crash could be related to dmm drivers, upto a bug gstreamer....

How old is your image? Is it Openpli 4? If not please flash OpenPli4. Well, even if it is OpenPli 4 try to reflash and test before installing any plugins.
