OMG The Vu+ Solo SE has i bad tuner!

I connected it. The stock image says 99% in signal (which is not true) and many channels are not working, and the 3 channels that do, are pixilating.

OK, bad cable/connection I thought.

Then I took the VU+ Solo SE and plugged it into the cable where my VU+ Duo 2 is working fine on dvb-c.

SAME RESULT!!!

The tuner or drivers are so poor in this model.

As it it now - DO NOT BUY!

As this is just one experience I can't imagine that the hardware is that bad as you discribe.
And as we haven't got an image for this STB this hasn't got anything to do with OpenPLi.
My suggestion. Bring it back to your reseller and stop complaining.

Hi,

Tuner driver for DVB-C on the Duo² were very poor also when they released Duo² can't VU+ learn from his past experience?

didn't purchase VU+ due its poor cable (DVB-C) capabilities. You seems to experience the same problem I had when I test a Duo².

Can not confirm the bad tuner. But i ordered the more expensive version with samsung dvb-t2 tuner! ;)

I have LG-Tuner in my Ultimo and they are not really good! Without a extra fan they get hot and this result in bad signal. Final state is a pixeling picture!

The only problem now with solose: No openpli suppport! :(

Had to install vti and i don't like it!

So please pli-team add support for solose!

It's not us you should ask, it's VU+ you should ask. But I can reveal in the meantime, after lots of patience, there seems to be some movement in this area!

Something like that ;) I'd say "I will only buy one of your receivers when it runs OpenPLi".

" I'll only consider buying on of your receivers if ...."

Or even "I wouldn't even consider buying on of your receivers if it doesn't ......"

I have send them perhaps 2-3 e-mails but nothing from them :-(
Vuplus never answers from my e-mails so nothing to gain from them

Thank you Pli Team for the support on both this boxes and Xtrend and Formuler that i have got.

realy nice support from the team :-)

I have seen no such "picture problems" problems on both receivers.

I just flashed a brand new Zero but concerning a picture that supposed to be worse then any other receiver, I can't confirm this.
My first impression is that it is a nice mini receiver. Thus far I haven't experienced any complications. :)
Later today I will flash the VU+ SoloSE to check whether the picture is bad. I can't imagine.
