Yes but not with a STB. Especially not VU+, they cannot even record remote enigma tuners.

Yes but not with a STB.

Not with any STB? If so:

Especially not VU+

is redundant.

they cannot even record remote enigma tuners.

Well, that's iptv as well, isn't it?

That is exactly what I tried to explain, but apparently failed.

IPTV as in media from internet: no STB can record that
IPTV as in remote enigma tuner: no VU+ stb can record that.

OK, clear now.

So this means that other STB's can record channels from other STB's? If so: which ones?

Just timeshifted a remote stream on an XP1000, works fine.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Which is exactly what I explained earlier. Non-DVB media cannot be recorded (aka 4097:...)

Well if you manage to find out where the "real" stream is served, you might actually succeed with wget.

Hmmm, that turns out to be not correct.

I have the Solo2 setup as client for the DUO2 using the RemoteChannelServiceConvertor plugin. Both (P)TS, saving TS and record from any remote service works just fine.

At the moment I have ViX on both, so I'm not sure if the actual drivers & kernel (3.13.5) have made this possible.

I've had a sneak preview at the new drivers from VU+ and indeed it looks like they've fixed this issue (finally).

i can record iptv

done it with old dm800

and i still do it with vu solo2

put blue txt in

/etc/enigma2/userbouquet.favourites.tv

#SERVICE 1:0:1:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//stream-ip%3aport/
#DESCRIPTION MY STREAM

add a working http stream

/ must be at the end of the url

restart enigma

go to bouquet favourites.tv

select MY STREAM

stream will now play

press record and it will record to hdd

i can also record RTMP

but  its different to the above

Sounds interesting. Would there be any less manipulative way to achieve this?
