i have been using openpli based images for a long time on my et9000 with 2x dvb-s2 tuner setup.

both tuners set the same as i am using a dual monoblock with diseqc

since i started to use openpli 4.0 based images (from here or from hdfreaks) i noticed that after a recording starts when i watch a channel adter a while i get image hickups or complete image stops.

i thought it was performance related but i tried cleaning up memory, flushing cache, no high cpu usage in the box and it is always the same.

i am using oscam as newcamd client and there are no problems until the recording starts.

i tried to switch the preferred tuner from A to B but it behaves the same.

tried to change the "set voltage and 22 KHz" tuner setting with no change

tried to uninstall all plugins so i am sure there is nothing interferring with the recording. always the same

when recording also the zapping is extremely slow. normally it zaps between 1-2 seconds while on recording it zaps over 5 seconds.

1. is there anything i can try to narrow down this issue?

2. can i use some older tuner drivers with openpli4? where do i get them?

3. is there any known stable openpli 4.0 based image which is known to work with 2 tuners on et9000?

4. anybody seen an et9000 with simillar issues?

I had the same issue.

I had to replace all cabling and connectors to get rid of most the problem. What remains is a small hickup when the other tuner switches on, but i think that is due to interference of the diseqc signal.

thank you for the answer but honestly and with respect this does not seem to be a cabling problem. sometimes the image stops for 10 seconds, then continues for 5 seconds then stops again for 10 seconds.

and i am 100% sure this issue came up ater i moved to openpli 4.0 based images

Yes, exactly my problem, and when it stops the C/N ratio goes to zero and then comes back again etc. I did not believe it either, changing the cabling was my last resort. It appeared to be interference between transponders of both tuners and was not present with all transponder combinations. Just change to another image, i'm sure the problem will not disappear.

changed the cables and the LNB as well. testing for many days and the the C/N ratio is not changing when this happens and also FTA channels are affected. does not matter if watch and stream or watch and record. always the same.

I have a twin LNB (not monoblock) and have never experienced any of that on my ET9000.

What is your tuner configuration? Can you list it here?

Also, why don't you flash your box making sure there are no automatic back-up files on your USB/HDD?

Hi,

Open up your ET-9000 and check the capacitors aspect on the power supply board, if they have problem replace them.

I had to replace some of them on my two ET-9000.

And I have no problem at all on my two ET9000 both runs very well with OpenPLi 4.
