Hi, have a problem with the sound, the quality is really bad. Think maybe it's the db800se since I replaced all cords and it did not help. Tried also with optical cable directly to my Harman Kardon surroundsystem, the sound is still awful. Other media plays great from HK. 

Have OpenPli 3.x, thought that maybe it is a software problem so I tried to do a software update, says no updates available. How can I update to 4.x?

Can the sound be a software related problem? 

Had some problems with the update from 2.x to 3.x since I use mgcamd, will there be problems to update to 4.x?

Forgot to add that the sound from TV and HK is both bad when I watch through db800se, if I look watch a DVD the sound is great.

db800se? What is the box you have DM800se? A clone or something?

What is the real and complete image name you are using?

Ahh, thought it was db since it is a DreamBox ;D Sorry...!

 

How can i Update the firmware to 4.0?

By flashing the latest available here:

http://openpli.org/download/dm800se/

You may have to update your bootloader first.

OK, now I found out that there are many others with same problem. These seems to be a issue with the sound from a few big swedish TV channels, TV3HD and TV4HD, also problem found with other HD channels.

Hopefully someone on OpenPli can give a fix for this?

Problem is that when these channels have sound with much bass, speakers starts to "wobble" and sound really bad. 

 

Problem started in April - May, like the provider started with some boost on bass on these channels...?
