It is not possible, but you can put calling of your script into ppanel and then ppanel put under red/green button

Nice idea for Littlesat, to add the possibility to run a script, possibly with some useful "inside information" from enigma as input.

Shoot!!! Work again ;)

Could be added like Zap To and Panic To are implemented.... but than with a "script" or file selector instead of the channel selector and then at the end execute the script in a window....

i can also consider to run ppanels from Hotkey... but when make it that way the user needs to add a xml for a specific shell script. But in Hotkey this will be more easy code and it will be more straight a way...

I prefer not do it using ppanels. The only thing is that we'd need to capture the output and present it, I think some code can be copied from ppanels ;) The shell script should receive some general useful information from enigma, either using enivronment variables (preferrably) or using stdin.

Good question :D What do people tend to do with ppanels? You could turn the lights on or off in my case :D

Hi,

But what do you want to do with a shellscript?

ohh there are many possibilities, as example

1. i have a internal hdd and a external hdd and so i have a script which makes me a symlink for external hdd in the moviedir from internal hdd

because i need this only sometimes.

2. i have also a usb dvd-rom on my et9000 and so i use another script which makes me a dvd.iso from a dvd in my usb dvd-rom

with the binary dvdbackup and cdrkit (genisoimage).

i know there is a Plugin for this on feed too - it calls also dvdbackup but i didn't need it, a script is enough for that.

and so on....

but i use ppanel for that and thats very good i think, and now with hotkey we can put ppanel on a specific button at one's own option.

regards

Yessss :) ! I have asked for the same improvement last year. I wanted to run a script from the box to backup my files on an external hard disk. Now, I have to use a PC Windows and it's not convenient (my wife or my daughter can use it, some backup can run a long time and I have to remove the Windows standbye otherwise the cmd command window is stopped...).

Excuse me but I'm not very easy with English and I don't use Python. Thus what is Hotkey? Is it a plugin as MultiQuickButton? And how I can use Ppanel to run a script?

Thank you :) ?

Hotkey is a integrated alternative for MQB.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

It's built-in, so it's not a plugin.

And I don't know from memory, haven't used ppanels since my DM7000 days...

Ok, are there these keys implemented in Movie Player? I know we can modify them. Otherwise where are they?

You can map short functions to a free remote button

Menu - setup - system - hotkey

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...
