Depends on which box you are using, if it is a Dreambox or a Formuler you can't use the Autobackup or BackupSuite. All other Openpli supported boxes are supported bij Autobackup and BackupSuite

What is the problem with supporting the formuler boxes?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I use Vu+ Solo2 receiver.

Autobackup make only settings backup (just tuner settings, channed channels and some minor settings). I looking for program which able make full backup (with HbbTV, Softcam and other plugins).

What is the problem with supporting the formuler boxes?

enigma2-plugin-extensions-automatic-fullbackup - 3.3 - automatic fullbackup and manual flashing for ET/VU+/XP1000/F1/F3

In my opinion there is no problem.

It was reported to me that  on the formuler f1 and f3 the backupsuite aborts with an error while dumping the kernel, it was reported to me by the importer Bomb... and 2Boom

2f0c203.jpg

The kernel size is somehow passed as an argument?

The used command is

$NANDDUMP /dev/$MTDPLACE -q > "$WORKDIR/$KERNELNAME"

which is equivalent to

/usr/sbin/nanddump /dev/mtd1 -q > /media/usb/kernel.bin

also the command

/usr/sbin/nanddump /dev/mtd1 -f /media/usb/kernel.bin

results in an error.

I can't solve it without testing because 2boom didn't have the box anymore and the importer didn't respond anymore.

So without a box to test it, or someone else who's willing to test it, it is impossible for me to pinpoint the problem.

Sad but true and therefore I decided to remove the formuler f1 and f3 parameters because the backupsuite crashed during the kernel dump phase on 2 different formulers,

I must say this was the case in the beginning of October, I don't know if the problem was in the preproduction models/image or not

The used parameters were:

Formuler F1    formuler1    Formuler F1    /formuler1    /fullbackup_formuler1        -m 2048 -e 126976 -c 8192    -m 2048 -p 128KiB    rootfs.bin    kernel.bin     noforce    message12

Formuler F3    formuler3    Formuler F3    /formuler3    /fullbackup_formuler3        -m 2048 -e 126976 -c 8192    -m 2048 -p 128KiB    rootfs.bin    kernel.bin     noforce    message12

The you can use Automatic Fullbackup (sorry Dima73 for calling it previous Autobackup) and the BackupSuite, both will do what you are looking for. The automatic fullbackup can be scheduled to run unattended and the backupsuite has to be started manually. \

You could install the backupsuite and copy the lookuptable.txt in the install dir to replace the existing one and have it a go to start with.

Another errormessage was:

msg-20467-0-42741100-1413316574.jpg

(without suppressing the messages, so without the -q (quiet) parameter.

The nanddump starts but it should look something like this (but other numbers)

ECC failed: 0

ECC corrected: 0

Number of bad blocks: 0

Number of bbt blocks: 0

Block size 131072, page size 2048, OOB size 64

Dumping data starting at 0x00000000 and ending at 0x00700000...

But the output stops after: Number of bbt blocks: 0

Did you had an opportunity to test the BackupSuite on the Formuler F1? And if so, what was the result?
