Is a usb dvd reader , sees it as usb mass storage cd - rom sg1 type 5 but does not create any sr0 device , I checked an old post , mdev.conf , mdev.sh , e2 -helper , hotplug , sr-mod module . years that is working, you inserted a dvd

, the dvd player asks play the dvd .Image 24/12 ( reflashed ) , A short time ago the ' image was very stable , almost everything worked (knowing the limits with vu , the problem rc keyboard etc. )

There is already a patch submited that compiles cifs on kernel, but the vendor did not accepted yet.

I think they are on vacation :)

When does it say that? when you type "opgk" instead of "opkg"?

This is not an issue with the solo2. The Solo2 has cifs support built into the kernel.

So what is the problem you're trying to solve?

why then other tuners can? The same credentials, same IP. Everything is the same.

And yes, i recreated this mount couple of times and did checked mistypos and other possible errors.

Can you try to mount the CIFS from telnet? (adjust the following commands to your need)

mkdir -p /media/cifs

mount -t cifs //192.168.X.X/folder -o username=user,password=pass /media/cifs/

this share is Apple Airport Time Capsule, maybe there is something special?

But i can reach this share from PC, Popcorn Hour A-400 media player and other sat tuners (Xtrends) running openpli.

I had the same error when I tried the mount on the commandline on an XP1000, but it mounted fine from fstab.

I just wonder if the OE update has exposed an old bug in UNC parsing...
