This is the result of VU+ offering a BSP layer now (just like most of the other manufacturers do nowadays), see the commit log. This amongst others means we can follow the developments from VU+ much more closely now :)

Could you pinpoint where the BSP layer is located?

Thank you, so we now get new drivers more frequently? Then maybe cec will work correctly for my solo2 with onkyo receiver/remote :-) Gonna flash in a couple of minutes. That if what Pedro says is true? For solo2 I can do it right now?
Thanks :-)

Merry Christmas!

I see some strange entries in the BSP layers:

For the VU+ Duo2, and Solo2 I see
FORCE_REBOOT_OPTION = "reboot"
which is correct to reboot after a flash without confirmation

For the VU+ Zero and Solo SE I see in the BSP layer:
FORCE_REBOOT_OPTION = "force"
Is this also correct or could it be a typo?

If I'm not mistaken the force.update is the code to flash without confirmation and not reboot without confirmation

Here's a part of the log while restarting with an USB-stick with a valid image
checking front key
readFrontKey 0 0
Checking usbdisk0:/vuplus/solo2/ignore.update......NO
Checking usbdisk0:/vuplus/solo2/force.update......NO
Checking usbdisk0:/vuplus/solo2/cfe_cfe_auto.bin......NO
Checking usbdisk0:/vuplus/solo2/root_cfe_auto.bin......YES
Checking usbdisk0:/vuplus/solo2/splash_cfe_auto.bin......NO
Checking usbdisk0:/vuplus/solo2/kernel_cfe_auto.bin......YES
Checking usbdisk0:/vuplus/solo2/reboot.update......YES
waiting for update key

I just updated my VU+ Uno with OpenPLI 4 using SSH terminal and after reboot the tuner stops on boot with text"Stating" on display.  No GUI (HDMI) is shown and tuner do not start Ethernet interface and do not get an LAN IP so I am not able to try any SSH or Telnet login.  Any suggestion where to start is most appreciated.

All VU's need to be flashed, you can not update.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Thanks a lot!

Even WOL is working now on my Duo2. ;-)

Hi,

I'm having the same issue with my Solo2 after today's update.
Box keeps saying "Starting..." and nothing happens. No image on TV also.
It do not react to any remote control and I can't access with telnet.

Any suggestion? Thanks

How about reading the warning about updating today?
