Interesting, that's including the quote from 40H3X exactly the THIRD time in ONE DAY in ONE TOPIC that I have to mention EXACTLY THE SAME.

I simply wish people would read, so everything doesn't need to be repeated endlessly.

Package kernel-module-cifs (3.9.6-r5.0.1.1) installed in root is up to date.
root@vusolo:~# opkg install kernel-module-ext4
Package kernel-module-ext4 (3.9.6-r5.0.1.1) installed in root is up to date.

The opkg command will install the kernel modules, but does it really load the modules?

Please check if the modules are loaded with the command 'lsmod'.

I read this all the time: you have to re-flash, but what can I tell you, my Solo2 and 9200 work fine in every respect after updating them online. The Vu+ Duo however didn't get through the online updating process and wouldn't boot anymore so I flashed it 2 days ago but even with CIFS and EXT4 modules installed CIFS doesn't work on this box. For the time being I connected the shares via NFS but sooner or later I guess I'll need Samba back.
