On my ET8000 , I have one skin which shows processor temperature.

It says it's 43 º C

It reads the value from /proc/stb/fp/temp_sensor  and if I manually read the value on a telnet session it gives me the same value, 43.

But If I use OpenPli Skin, I go to Menu > Information > About, and I can see the following:

CPU: BCM7429B0 1305 MHz (2 cores) 67º C

I see that this value is the one which shows at /proc/stb/fp/temp_sensor_avs.

So one skin seems to look at temp_sensor, and the other one at temp_sensor_avs.

Which is the right one ?

Wrong question. If you have an oven on, and it's set to 200 degrees, I guess you won't go checking that on the central heating appliance? They are very different things. The one is the ambient temperature (air) and the other the temperature on the die ("the chip") which can go easily over 100 degrees.

Ok.

One should be named "System Temp" or "Board Temp" and the other "CPU Temp".

Thanks.

And that is really dependent on each model, so enigma2/skin/plugin cannot translate.
