Hello
I am the owner Xtrend ET7500HD and I have a problem with tuning on Thor 0.8W directly on freesat.
I have a 120 cm dish and motor. I Global moderator http://forum.techneteuweb.eu
The signal on my dish receiver on the other is 95% but ET7500 signal is only 47% I exchanged LNB and parabola but the problem persists. I replaced setellites.xml and made a new scan channels but the problem is still the same unchanged. At first I thought that this was not a problem Enigma2 and therefore I have tried all the Images for a given receiving ET7500 but the result is a wall. The problem persists.
Another receiver signal 95% on Thor 0.8W at ET7500 47% and it is too little. At 23.5E skylink signal is acceptable but also a little bit weaker but normal.
I am not alone who has the same problem. I informed at independent owners of these receivers Xtrend ET7500HD and have the same problem.
I wonder if it's a problem or a hardware tuner and if I complain receiver or whether developers about how to solve the problem and know the problem.
Furthermore, the problem is that plays classic videos in AVI format. The image is cut, shake and you can not rewind. But this is the problem with most receivers. The big problem is with a tuner and it is a serious problem.
I am aware that it is a novelty, but a problem with the Tuner is a serious and this should be addressed quickly.
Thank you in advance for your answer. Sincerely By.Bob

Can i ask you, which other receiver do you use? Are you sure, that a signal level of other receiver is correct?

Do you have a problem only with signal level of Xtrend or with picture too?

Hi I use Skytec Nerine, Golden Interstar Xpeed LX1, HDBox 9105+, Dreambox 7020, Optibox Geko Plus, Skytec kleio, HDBox 7919,
In these receivers the signal at the same parabola with the motor in good. Only Golden Interstar Xpeed LX1 is weaker by 5% but Xtrend ET 7500HD tuner is really too weak.

The picture is falling out when the weather changes. For other receivers, the picture is fine even when the weather changes for the same dish.

On receiving the aforementioned dish I have tested with the motor and the signal is ok and Xtrend ET 7500HD shows too little.

The value itself is not the problem. The tuner/driver gives a value back and E2 interprets this value. If E2 don't know the tuner, it might be that the signal strength is shown as weak, but it is not weak.
E.g. tuner from VU+ returns values from 50-1000. 1000 is very good. et7500 tuner returns e.g. values between 0-100. So if it returns 90 (=good signal) and E2 don't know the tuner and uses VU+ tuner scale (50-1000) a very bad signal strength is shown in E2.

So you say that you have problems with the box when you have bad weather. This is an indication that tuner is weak. Please don't rely on the shown values.

From my experience i can say, that isn't software, but hardware problem.

Yes, my opinion is that this is a problem in HW and it does not fit with Enigma2. I think you should focus on that when you update and should not be giving HW with other sources such as VU +. You should test and tune Enigma2 with HW on Xtrend ET7500 HD. It's not just my problem but for most Xtrend receivers.

It was only an example!
And the main message was: "Don't rely on the shown values". Especially don't compare values from one box with another box from other manufacture. So don't say Xtrend 9200 shows 80 and so has weaker tuner as mutant hd2400 which show 85. The values are not comparable.

But to come back to the issue. Nevertheless you might be right that the et7500 tuner is weaker.
By the way. Which tuner do you mean? The fixed one or the plug and play tuner in the et7500? I heard from user that the fixed one is the weaker.

Hi is true that did not compare. Enigma2 has set a minimum threshold for signal and when the mouse pointer hovers below this is a problem with the picture. I do not mention an example but the fact that u Xtrend ET7500 tuner is weaker at fixed on motor. Tuner is by me wrong HW and disagree with Enigma2. has a big problem with HD transporter. When you first install and insert setting was a problem that some HD channels found. Setting the current and new. I had to replace satellites.xml anew and do a scan to find the missing channels. Again, I set the dish i bought a new LNB 0.1 db 0.2 db 0.3 db and I tried, if it does not improve. Same result. Signal Strength unchanged.
Xtrend ET7500 HD has bad drivers tuner. This should Pli img development programmer should check and fix the problem.

I did have time for extensive test. I had the opportunity to compare and signal to xt4000 and it seems that Xtrend shows a lot of different values than other receivers I've tested. After changing the LNB it yet seems to signal corresponds almost to et4000 values. Comparison with et4000 not on the same dish, but the differences in values for various programs fairly consistent. Perhaps the weakest signal I measured on Yle TV1HD (0.8W). et4000 about 54% and about 49% et7500. Unlike some and is mainly for HD programs, but the picture has not fallen. The conditions for the test were good and I wait for the rain, and how much it will change. Tuner is probably more sensitive to worsening conditions, but I still have to test the new LNB. So far, thanks for the response and still write after one week of operation.

Gentlemen, today I tested in wind and rain. tuner has a bad driver. picture really bad. I traded for Skytec Nerine on the same dish and Skytec Nerine the picture was OK. My first test and claim that it is OK to be wrong tuner. Xtrend ET7500 has a bad driver. Indicator for HD TP shows only a maximum of 55% signal and 43% already picture does not work. Enigma2 can not work with the tuner is in the receiver.

hello
The new bootloader has no effect on bad drivers tuner. I've done a lot of testing on multiple receivers and Xrend ET7500 has a bad driver tuner. At first I thought it was just a mistake Enigma2, but after testing, I came to the conclusion that it's a really bad driver. It is essential that developers have to solve the problem driver or receiver will complain, and it's not good for the industry and users.
Testing every day, and in comparison with other receivers is 93%, for the same dish is Xtrend only 53%, and when it starts raining, the signal drops to 43% and drops the TV picture.
Tuner has the largest signal problem with Thor 5/6 0.8 W
I tried to signal Thor 5/6 0.8 W with Xtrend ET4000 and does almost the same thing. I do not know how one tuner manufacturer tests, which have a signal problem. Xtrend more tuner is doing well and has no problem with the signal.
Tuner driver gives wrong information in the Enigma2 to evaluate the signal is bad.
Anyone who says that is fine tuner, the satellite Thor 5/6 0.8 W is not right or just looking for ASTRA 23.5E. Astra has no problem with the signal.
This is not just a problem with the driver, but does not show Enigma2 AGC signal quality and BER does not show errors. This means that it is a very bad driver that provides inaccurate information about the signal Enigma2.
I installed the new Flash img 11. 1. 2015 but the signal is changed only slightly improved picture on your TV.

Yes I had also discovered. Shows a wrong value Enigma2. When you look at what your actual model itself and do admit a judgment about where is the bug that incorrectly shows. I thought that it is done for image xtrend but was only taken with DM800SE so when you look at what you'll find yourself model that is built on Enigma2 DM800SE and therefore probably disagree indicators. For example, the AGC still shows 100% except for skin-redxtglobal. There shows correctly. Ber, does not show at all. I contacted Shamann if not regulated by hd glass16 AGC to work properly. I sent him all the information he wanted, and it is due to poor model can not edit it to make it work. My opinion is that it quickly did enigma receiver to go quickly to the market for sale. Enigma2 is therefore with DM800SE and not based on xttend et7500.
