Hi I have a xp1000 Maxdigital box and recently tried to record a TV programme. I realised the file was saving to a different location to where I wanted so I tried to change the location under the "File Listing" section - during this process the box encountered an error and a message appeared on screen saying that the box has encountered a problem and would reboot itself.

I have tried to go back in and change the location setting back to its original location, however, every time I click on the "File Listing" button my remote, it attempts to open the files dialogue screen but only shows a black screen and then it encounters the same problem again and reboots itself.

How can I get around this problem and change the default location for saving files?

Thanks

The original location where you want to save to does still excist? Like a changed

- IP address of NAS

- folder where you supposed to write to

- login and password are still the same? if required

- permissions of location you want to write to

- if the accidental write was internal in xp1000, perhaps a quicker solution is to reflash the box and use the previous backup (hope you save this on dedicated usb stick for the box?)

and then verify the recording paths and network, mounts where to record to?

Sf8HD, sf8008, OpenPli 9.0, fixed lnb 28.2E, 19.2E

Hi Jan

Thanks for your reply.

The original path does still exist. I have not deleted anything.

I do not have any backups of my settings so I cannot reflash the device, I need another solution.

The change I made was using the remote control and on-screen interface - I did not make any other changes.

The original and complete error message might help. Take a picture and post that here if needed.

Which OpenPLi version is running on the box, and when was the last time you updated it?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Hi thanks for your reply- I have now managed to fix the problem by simply removing the USB flash drive and re-inserting it while the box was still on.
