Hi,
You don't have any /media/hdd/picon folder (even empty if so remove it).
Where is stored your epg.dat files?
You can force the epg.dat location by editing the file /etc/enigma2/settings and change or add this value:
config.misc.epgcache_filename=/media/usb/epg.dat
This will force it on the usb key.
Also check your softcam setting to see if you didn't ask it to write ecm, emm or other logs on your HDD.

Just check your folders on the hard drive. Obviously something IS requesting HDD access. Most likely Timeshift, Picons or EPG data. Remove any directory NOT related to your movies and check which directory is automatically added.. Find the appropriate plugin and change settings....

epg.dat will never be accessed when the box is in use; only during E2 start 8 stop.
The Cross database on HDD is a different issue though; it will be accessed.

No skin installed that does temperature monitoring? Had this once, HD would not idle anymore. Removed skin and selected another one--> all ok and disk powered down again.
ET10K user i.c.w. Samsung UE40B6000 LED HDTV. ET9K alas not functioning anymore.

A problem is found and solved.
The problem was to create a directory with the name in Cyrillic.
By the way through the virtual keyboard menu of the receiver.

The information above is not true.
Really a problem with the plugin CacheFlush.
It seems with the option "Clean \"dirty\" cache too" if yes.
