Hello,

I recently purchased the Sundtek MediaTV Digital Home and managed to install it succesfully on my VU+ solo2 running the latest OpenPLI image.
Currently the only option to scan for channels is through the Manual scan.
The Automatic scan is giving me:"ERROR - failed to scan (error starting scanning)!".
Blindscan 1.4 and Fast scan are not recognizing the DVB-C tuner in the Tuner option inside the plugin. (I can only scan the built-in Tuner A and Tuner B).

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong or how can i get the blindscan plugin to recognize the usb tuner?

Does the latest OpenPLI image support blindscan on vu+ solo2?

Thanks in advance,

Blindscan can't work on an USB tuner. If you want blindscan, use the tools that came with the SundTek tuner.

* Wavefrontier T90 with 28E/23E/19E/13E via SCR switches 2 x 2 x 6 user bands

There are command line tools in de package. One of them features some sort of blindscan, but afaik it doesn't work well.

Bottom line: hardware and driver support is required for blindscan. It's not an enigma feature.

The tuners from 2014+ support Blindscan in hardware (older tuners don't have the ability for that), however it is not yet implemented in software... you can blame us for not having it inside the driver yet it's on the list for February finally... sorry for the extremely long delay with Blindscan

We are about to release a driver update with Blindscan support for our devices (Sundtek TV Tuners from 2014/2015) for various settopboxes today.

We tested DVB-C and it works very well with our provider in Germany, DVB-T/T2 is a little bit more difficult - we'll see how it works out in practice.

Yes, but SkyTV IV is currently not available (as for April 2015), our engineers are working on it. We hope the availability status will change soon. A new chipupdate introduces some issues at the moment.

If anybody cares, or needs to know:
I successfully modified one of the blindscan plugins to work with Sundtek DVB-S2 IV. The output of the blindscan is controlled by the receiver, and works similar to an internal tuner blindscan. I have tested this on Vu+ Duo2, and Vu+ Zero receivers. Nice to have some form of blindscan for the Zero. EB
