Use the search. Or read up. All 3rd-party packages with the wrong arch no longer install.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

This is indeed a quick work-a-round....

What needs to be done is to unpack the package... and arrange that architecture all is included there instead of mipsel.

But you also need to take care of updating the 3rd-party feeds.
e.g. the OPKG tools on the feeds are still on version 1.2, while version 1.3 is out for years. The same applies to other packages.

It works both ways: packages need to be up-to-date and feeds need to be up-to-date.

And what does version 1.3 give us as compelling new features that we absolutely cannot live without?

But are permanent timeshift plugin still running without any problems?
Does anyone have changed it after these milo commits? http://sourceforge.n...64403f4499a96a/  http://sourceforge.net/p/openpli/enigma2/ci/1281083c14ec56046c344461cabd47b61d5491a3/
As far as I know the permanent timeshift in eitsave.cpp used lookupEventId and lookupEventTime, that after these commits need changed to saveEventToFile (if I am not mistaken).

I'm using the 1.4b version which was adapted by Dimitrij formerly known as Dima73

it is from 23-8-2014.

It has the possibility to save the "current event until this time", useful when your watching something what you like to keep but did not start a recording.

It is working for me, but my last update was maybe 2 weeks ago.

I've long want to add this option to the standard timeshift.

Would be extremely nice if that is possible

I don't think it's that complex to add it.

In the meantime you can search for the timeshifing file that currently is being written to (using cd and ls -rtl) and copy (not move) that.

I hope that Dimitrij has the time and is willing to make some changes.
PTS has does not only what a user can do manually, but it also automagicly ends the time-shift, and start a new one.
We use it a lot when recording music clips.
I think manually copying files is not something the other people in the family like.

I'm not sure of in the basic Pli for time-shifting files some form of recording possible is.
But if the recording possibility's of PTS becomes part of the Pli recording screen I will immediately switch to it.
(Have done the same with Hotkey witch i'm now using instead of MQB ;) )

Until then i keep using PTS

Not fully true ....

It starts a second one before the event ends for the next event and it stops the first one a time after the event changes. So for a short while you have two recordings with overlap...

Then I suggest you could better have one recording with two events inside...

You can indeed make recordings of the current timeshift buffer. This is possible and build in OpenPli already for years...It only does not store/split it automatically on events...

PTS gives me in the record menu

1 Timeshift save recording (stop after current event)

2 Timeshift save recording  (select event)

3 Timeshift save recording  (current event until this time)

I use nr 3 the most.

I do not sure about the overlap, if it is there it is minor and never bothered me i have to say.

But I have 2 seperate recordings

If I use the Pli one what happens if I record clip 1 (save the file) , then i want clip 2 also after seeing it (again save file), do I get clip one also in the recording of clip 2?

It is the same event.

I suggest normal pli timeshift gives you also such kind of options.... But there could be options added... Feel free ;)

Did not know that 1 and 2 where possible, where do I find them?

Thanks for the offer for adding options if wanted? or useful?

But I do not want rush things or to have a lengthy discussion about what I feel is comfortable, with someone who him/herself has no need for.

Everybody has their own mind-setting and that is a good thing.

You devs are putting your time in it, not me, I'm only using it. ;)

By the way, congratulations with Hotkey, I think it is a great succes.

I will keep using PTS a while until nr 3 is also possible in the same manner as in PTS and 1 and 2 are indeed possible in basic Pli.

arch any 6

arch noarch 11

arch mips32el 16
