I have been using the crossepg plugin on the VU+ DUO VTI image for a longtime and have been downloading the rytec xmltv UK. However, recently when updating rytec providers it says "cannot retrieve rytec sources" and this has also stopped me from looking at a weeks schedule.

Can anyone help?

Sounds like either your box or the VTI image isn't up to date, there are new providers for crossepg, so it's author needs to update the package.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

I had same problem on Dreambox with Newenigma. Then instaled Open PLi + xtml importer and now ;)

Try updating Crossepg (the complete plugin) of the XMLTV-rytec plugin.

Hopefully your image provider already has updated the plug-in with the new sources.  (OpenPli hopefully tomorow 12-03-2015)

My box, vti software and the crossepg are all up to date however i think that there is a rytec problem because the xepgdb which is the other crossepg plugin provider updates its sources fine but the rytec one says "cannot retrieve rytec sources".

Do you know if there are any issues in your side of rytec?

We are working on this.

You can try to update the crossepg plug-in.  Hopefully the modification is in by now.

In a telnet session:

opkg update
opkg upgrade enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-crossepg

in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/

delete:

crossepg_rytec_update.pyo

and

crossepg_rytec_update.py

UNzip the attached file and copy the pyo file to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/

restart enigma

Run Crossepg..  Update the Rytec sources.  You may have to do it twice (I had to)

Ok since the dev's are failing to publish the corrected thing.

I leave it here.  But publishing the sourcefile was what I tried to avoid.

hmm, just (dry) checked, and it seems that in the feed is up-to-date crossepg plugin version:
Package: enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-crossepg
Version: 0.6.2+git297+2b6dccf-r0.64
with correct sources...

however, for some reason, in enigma2-plugin-extensions-xmltv-rytec in the feed sources seem not to be updated, despite it's the latest version of plugin (20150310-r0.0) /?/
