If you want to record it don't watch it..

Recording = 1 download, Recording & Watching = 2 downloads.

If you can watch it, then it can be recorded too. Set an timer and try to record with the box in standby.

Thank you very much for your genius suggestion. I changed channel  to non- iptv channel on hotbird, then set timer to record stream from QHDTV, it worked perfectly both when box is working and when it os on standby. this is best forum , very friendly and  intelligent members. The function of record iptv on enigma2 make enigma2 very valuable and pli based image best image. what i do not understand s why some iptv streams can be watched and recorded at same time without problem, others stop stream while record , but it record without  problem, other only with help of timer

Because bandwidth is really expensive! (some will work for bandwidth :P)

So providers limit the concurrent download per IP,User,token, etc,etc.

If you want to record it don't watch it..

Recording = 1 download, Recording & Watching = 2 downloads.

just watch it as it records to hdd

then you are are watching the recording

Recording to & Watching from hdd = 1 download

can then stream that to any device's

as many as you like :)

When I want to record an IPTV, I press the "red" botton and it starts reconding without any problem. However, no matter I change the channel or stay on the same IPTV channel, I see a rotating dots at the corner and locks Solo2.

In order to exit, I need to turn the on/off botton. When it opens again, I can see that it recorded until I turned the on/off botton.

How can I solve this problem and record IPTV without any problems.

Not: My OpenPli is up to date, I often update online.

Thanks...

Was it working sometime before?

The iptv recording code hasn't changed since release. Does somebody else have the same problems?

It was always like this. Even if solo 2 locks itself, it keeps recording.

Can you please flash an new image (at best without restoring any settings and plugins) and test again? You can make full backup before flash, so that you can switch back to old image without problems.

What means "I can not write"? It doesn't work?

What does not work? Can you create e2 log?

I guess the patch is already included in the images. But I don't know. Please ask creator of the image.

You can record streams. But not all. Can you provide a link to the stream?

Edit: Did you read first post? Maybe you need to zap to other service because the server only accepts one connection.

The recording of streams, most probably requires "two" downloads, one for watch, one for download.

Some providers (especially the non free), limit concurrent download to 1.

So, recording of steams, should be working, when you are within the provider limits.
