I have found an old topic here from 2011 but been searching withou result.

How do I install a prefered version of cccam on "Linux hd2400 4.0.1".

In the cccam menu I don't find anything, there is nothing in applications.

Please show me where to find it.

Or is it possible to "apt-get" the proper version via ssh?

Hi, how can I change the path of the cccam config file? Is it possible?

/etc/init.d/ softcam.sh. But why? Is there any need to change the CCcam.cfg location? What would be the need/benefits?

There is not such file...

The problem is that various softcams like cccam, oscam emu, etc have their config files and key files in different folders. I want to have files in one folder for easier management.

Every softcam has it's own script, in /etc/init.d. The active softcam script is symlinked to "softcam" which is used to start the selected softcam.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Hi, how can I change the path of the cccam config file? Is it possible?

usage: CCcam [-d] [-C <configfile>]
-d run in the foreground (implies -v and -q)
        -v be verbose
-q don't use syslog (use on old systems)
        -C <configfile> use <configfile> instead of default (/var/etc/CCcam.cfg)
-f filter on specific demux data (saves some CPU,
but some platforms might not handle this very well)
        -n show network packets
        -s disable server
        -t show timing
        -l disable self-learning capabilities

so you'd need to alter a camstart line in /etc/init.d/softcam.CCcam script:
exec start-stop-daemon -S -x /usr/bin/CCcam -C /path/to_your/CCcam.cfg

True sarcasm doesn't need green font...

Doesn't work.

I get a message about not being able to find config in var/etc/CCcam.cfg and an excecution error, which means it doesn't accept the parameter.

That is because the start-stop-daemon sees it as an argument for him, and not for the daemon to execute.

Correct syntax is:

exec start-stop-daemon -S -x /usr/bin/CCcam -- -C /var/etc/CCcam.cfg
