I just downloaded and instaled the new openpil4 image on my vu+solo2 and everything good except that i need to put the volume up to 70% to get sound.
Reverting back to my previous backed up image the sound comes at 10% of the volume,.
Am i doing something wrong or is there a bug in the new image???????

Hi,
which level are you talking about? TV/AVR? If yes then set volume of box to 100%.

Why would one need to set it to such extreme level as 100%?
If it is required to set it to 100% to hear the sound normally, then something is wrong.
On my ET9000 I usually set it to 50% and the sound on my Panasonic TV is set to about 25%, I think.
This is fine for most channels.

so maybe the new image brings the vu volume settings low therefore the tv volume needs to go up to 70%,whereas on the old openpil image the vu volume settings is already high therefore i can put the tv volume at 10% and get sound ,does that make sense as i am only adjusting the tv volume?

100% audio output of a box is not 'an extreme level', but the normal level.Why would one need to set it to such extreme level as 100%?

there you might have 2 problems?
1. When you disable downmix it will be extremely loud.
2. You decrease the volume digitally so you have to use higher analogue amplification which means you have a worse SNR on the audio signal.
