I am using OpenPli 4 on my vu+duo. I planned on using it as mp3 player, since it's connected to my hi-fi, but it failed.
I tried yamp, merlin, and default media player, but no luck. Neither app would start playing, and merlin even crashes the receiver when i press play on remote.
Is there any help?

Tried that first, but it won't play. Everything looks ok, but time stands at 0:00 and music never starts.

I think you have to flash your box with a new image.

It is flashed few months ago. Since then, nothing new has been installed, and I've done the online update couple of days ago.
But, if everything else fails, I'll do that.

Yes and don't install Merlin, it will overwrite some system python files that are necessary for mp3 playback!
