That is the problem with all VU+ boxes, problem in the drivers that they won't fix. Use the "txt" button and the virtual keyboard instead.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Use the "txt" button and the virtual keyboard instead.

Or the WEB-IF.

thanks for bringing this up, installed a plugin (oscamstatusinfo) and was not able to enter username/password with the remote apart from this, the LED only bright white light on the front is really an annoyance on this receiver

Many STB's are not 'bedroom proof' due to a very bright (white/red/blue) light on the front panel. For a number of boxes the solution is to have the box in 'deep sleep' at all times (which also saves a lot of energy). Other boxes need a dark tape over the light.

Menu -> System -> Display Setup to change LED brightness when in standby and in use. Can be set to off all the time.

The problem with vu+ zero led is that its only one color. Its hard to distinguished between the box being on standby or on. Also in deep-standby the light is still on and bright - with the default settings. Thanks for sharing the Display Setup option. Now its definitely better :)

No it is not solved. This problem is well known by VU+.

Nope, it does not work. And as stated before: this is a 5-year old VU-bug of which they are well aware. And for what it's worth: their promise to fix it still stands....
