Hello,

I have the mut@nt HD2400 as a replacement of my DM8000, and what a improvement in speed! The only have one thing I came across, both the 8000 as the 2400 have a button for skip back/forward and fast back/forward. On the Dreambox these 2 buttons did indeed these different things while on the HD2400 both buttons seem to have the same function appointed to it (fast back/forward).

Am I the only one who has this problem, or has the different function of fast forward and skip forward been removed in enigma2? If somebody could enlighten me I'd be gratefull

I would suspect that's a bug in the (manufacturer's) driver...

I have mailed the problem to info@mutant-digital.com

I hope this is the right address and will get a response. If so I'll post it here

I still haven't got an answer from Mut@nt unfortunately, it seems the KEY_NEXT and KEY_PREVIOUS aren't correctly assigned in the driver or something indeed. It seems that KEY_NEXT has the same assignment as KEY_FORWARD and KEY_PREVIOUS the same as KEY_BACK everywhere on the HD2400.

I miss these buttons especially when you make a typo in the autotimer wizard text entry screen which doesn't have a screen keyboard (like there is for example in the timer edit). As the mute button on my Logitech is assigned to the reciever this button is not easily available without using the original remote, I often have to exit and type everything again.

In the /usr/share/enigma2/keymap.xml I found the following settings, and as the mute button does deleteforward in a text entry box (like Youtube), so thi sassignment seems to be used.

        <device name="dreambox advanced remote control (native)">
            <key id="KEY_MUTE" mapto="deleteForward" flags="mr"/>
            <key id="KEY_NEXT" mapto="deleteForward" flags="mr"/>
            <key id="KEY_PREVIOUS" mapto="deleteBackward" flags="mr"/>
        </device>
        <device name="dreambox remote control (native)">
            <key id="KEY_MUTE" mapto="deleteForward" flags="mr"/>
            <key id="KEY_NEXT" mapto="deleteForward" flags="mr"/>
            <key id="KEY_PREVIOUS" mapto="deleteBackward" flags="mr"/>

I have 2 questions I hope somenone can help me with:

1. Would it be possible to add the onscreen keyboard in the autotimer plugin (like you can request for example in the Youtube plugin using the yellow key, or the right/left key in the timer text edit)?

2. Are there keys that do deleteForward or deleteBackward I don't know about (besides the mute key, I can't find any alternative in keymap.xml)

3. Is this indeed driver related, and if so does anybody know how to contact Mut@ant about this?

Thank you for an answer

Hi,

Why don't you use key 3,6,9 (fast forward skip) and 1,4,7 (fast backward skip)?
And do you try to use the build-in Hotkey menu option to change the key assignment instead of manually editing your keymap.xml?
