I am using Openpli-4 Gstreamer 1.6.x based image on my original dm500 hd and i have problems with media player,to be more specific,video files(mkv) played in wrong scan.

720x576 progressive video file played in 720x576 interlaced

I doubt this receiver can even output progressive video.

Yes of course can output progressive video dm500 hd.I never had problems with images using gst 0.10

To be more specific dm 500 hd can output 480p.576p.720p and 1080p at 24 hz only.

It says it can. But does it actually work?

 

BTW the progressive output is at 25p then, not 50p. So there is actually little use for it, or your media would already be 25p.

Dm500 hd officialy support progressive output 50/60 hz at 480,576,720 and only at 1080 is 24 hz.As i said again i never had broblems watching the same video files using image with gst 0.10.

I've built and included all external wifi kernel modules I could find for the dm800.
However it runs on linux 2.6.18, so don't expect many 802.11n or ac drivers.

Hi MastaG,

Above streams have issues, the TS stream is not good, if you dump some minutes of the stream
(use livestreamer or simply record the stream from enigma2) and try to play with Enigma2 (rename first to .ts)
you will notice that stream it won't play, or it will play only audio, or it will play video, then only audio.

Even VLC over the time appends video & audio streams!

So please someone to have a look at the TS stream and tell us exacly what is wrong, in order to report it back to your provider..

PS. When you testing HLS streams make sure that you have proper date on the box else AES decoding fails with year 1970.

Athoik thanks for clearing it up.
I'm very happy with the accomplishment from you and mx3L.

For me fragmented streams was the major point of having gstreamer 1.x., and now we have it!

Somewhere next week I'll build new images and also take care of the feed (the nasty md5sum errors).

Ps. I've already altered my images to save iptv streams with a .ts extention.

A nice feature would be the ability to set a ntp server for people who only use OpenPLi for iptv and don't have any dish connected.

MastaG, can you check with your provider what is wrong in hls? There is a ticket opened in GStreamer and would be nice to add some details, might be something solvable in h264parse or so.

Hi MastaG, i tested the image yesterday and try to connect true Wlan but it's unavailable !!!

Idea of this patch is to not to send VIDEO_STOP, VIDEO_SET_STREAMTYPE, VIDEO_PLAY ioctl when streamtype is the same after caps renegotiation, since it causes freezes on some receivers when it's done in quick succession.

I tested some streams on et4x00 and so far no problems.

I have audio problem with iptv channels most with m3u8 where put you this file in et4x00 ?

blaugrana, if your wlan doesn't show, try an older stick (preferbly a abg stick from realtek). Like I said there arent many n/ac usb wlan chipsets that have drivers for linux 2.6.18 (which dates back to 2006).

kuscu38, m3u8 streams which are fragmented do not work in the current image.
Next week I'll release new images and upgrade the feed which have upstream fixes by athoik and mx3L for fragmented streams :-)
