Hello,
May be one little bug when using smart card:
When inserting the smart card in the slot, the USB hard drive starts.
The problem is it won't go in sleep mode anymore afterward.
I have to reboot the STB or switch it off to retrieve usual behavior.
Oscam is being used.

I think you may have to consider to reflash your box. Something or someone might have compromised your box! There is no logical reason why your HDD should start spinning when inserting a smartcard. I have 4 cards in my box and I can yank cards in or out... Doesn't affect anything other than a channel stopping from being decoded. Absolutely weird behaviour...

Check your OScam configuration, you probably define a log or to save EMM on the HDD, so when you enable the reader it start writing stuff on your HDD.
