hi,

i have many .mkv and mp4 and so on and my .eit files to this movies i make always with EITitor

but they didn't work in pli with movieplayer - i don't know why. (in emc they works correct)

the .eit files to the records works correct in pli.

EIT files are for DVB recordings. They're not used at all for non-DVB media. If you want comments in your matroska or mp4 files, you should use the specific tools available. But then still I don't think enigma will use the information.

I had the same problem. What I did: I just (re-)encode to .ts files. Enigma reads the .meta and .eit files in that case. I also tried to add a description in the .mkv file itself but Engima doesn't read that information.

hi friends,

ok, but is it not possible to make a patch so that in pli with movieplayer are also .eit files for .mkv and so on are accepted ?

it's a movieplayer thing because if i install emc with that it works.

It's not that easy and a very ugly workaround.

Try the Tmdb plugin ,it can write eit files to .avi's.

They are called *.aeit.

I don't know if it is the plugin which is reading it in the movieplayer.

thanks, but no i will install emc then all is good.

basic i would use pli without emc but in this case i use better emc.

in emc you didn't see the underscores from directorys and movies (it's configurable in emc)

and you can use the own .eit files  for all movie as .mkv or .mp4 or whatever and covers you can see also.
