Hello together,

I am a new owner of an XTREND ET8000 and using OpenPLI nightly from 2 days ago.

Everything works fine so far except one thing.

As long as OpenPLI is running everything is fine, but when I decide to restart the box network is not working after the reboot anymore.

Neither DHCP nor setting manual IP works. Restarting the network interface or rebooting again won't change anything.

The ONLY thing that works is unplugging the power cable, waiting for some minutes and then booting again.

Then all is working again, but rebooting will start all this over again.

I tried several openPLI images, all the same.

But to my surprise when testing the openATV nightly network is working fine and stable without any issues.

Is anyone having the same issue or has an idea how to overcome that issue?

Thanks a lot

Stefan

There is a few days old patch which seems to fix your problem. This patch is already included in OpenATV. Please wait a few days. Then it should be fixed also here.

I suggest you mean this one...https://github.com/o...72523dcf02d47d7 Which needs to be committed in the bsp layer as far I know...

I think this issue is not on all et8000 box. My et800 runs and starts without these ethernet issue. Maybe it depends on some random values inside the ethernet HW registers after reboot or power up. Good to here that there is a fix available

I also concur.

Thanks for the feedback so far.

How long does it normally take to get merged into OpenPLI?

Is there a way to find out once it is available so that I can give it a try?

Thanks,

Stefan

Check out the build environment and apply the patch locally and build it.

I can make the change in the bsp layer, but I had no time today. I hope I can do it tomorrow (oh, already after midnight, I mean today). Afterwards PLi sources need to be adapted (core submodule update). So expect that the patch is included Wednesday or Thursday.

Done.

But Erik, Milo or somebody else needs to update OpenPLi oe core before it will be included in the images.

I updated the meta-xtrend submodule today, so it will be available after next build.

Network connectivity issues with our Buildserver. We're busy trying to resolve those.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

All images except the Mutant HD2400 have been build overnight.
