Hello,

I am asking if it is possible for your help. I know that openpli doesn't support gigablue receivers because they don't want to support openpli. I have tried a few times to contact them but they don't want to offer support for openpli.

I am using one gigablue ipbox in my second room using remote channel stream converter and one vu+ solo 2 as main box.

I was thinking to try to compile my own openpli image using the drivers from oe-alliance but i don't know where to start.

Could someone give me some hints/directions to follow?

Thank you.

He is asking for how to BUILD an image himself, not for a ready made image. I am sure we can give him some hints how to setup a build environment.

Most probably getting the meta-gigablue from OE-A is a good start.

Then we need to modify Makefile and add the meta-gigablue layer.

BBLAYERS ?= \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-openembedded/meta-oe \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-openembedded/meta-filesystems \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-openembedded/meta-multimedia \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-openembedded/meta-networking \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-openembedded/meta-python \
	$(CURDIR)/openembedded-core/meta \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-openpli \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-dream \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-vuplus \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-xsarius \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-xp \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-xtrend \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-formuler \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-hd \
+	$(CURDIR)/meta-gigablue \
	$(CURDIR)/meta-local
And build .. ;)

Hi, have you done only that mod? Because I'm trying to build openpli on Ubuntu 15.10 x64 for gigablue800se plus. I copied meta-gigablue from oe alliance to openpli-oe-core but I got a lot of errors, tried to fix them with no luck. Can you help me? Thanks

You have a PM with the steps to build your image.

@beastyboy,

I'm interested on what you have done too, could you please send me the same "How To" file you sent to liskofinal?

We should all send emails to gigablue, maybe they will reconsider supporting openpli and create a bsp layer for their boxes.

You can copy meta-ini from oe-alliance to openpli-oe-core, edit the Makefile and add $(CURDIR)/meta-ini \. I am pretty shure that you will get some errors but we can try to solve them.

Tell me if you get errors.
