Unfortunately VU+ drivers have problem if file descriptors of video and audio decoders are close before clearearing and stoping them.Othere STB do not have such problem drivers in function close clean up, but nor VU+...
It can very well be so, typical for VU+.
The best way imho is to apply the workaround nevertheless on all receivers. Conceive a way that doesn't have impact on non-VU+receivers.
