hi, i recently replaced my quad lnb with an

Inverto Unicable IDLB-QUDL42-UNI2L-1PP

and hooked it up to my duo2 with 4 tuners.

works nicely.

however, once in a while i get a "sid not in pat" error message when i zap to a channel. rezapping "fixes" the problem.

i suspect there is a problem with the e2 unicable implementation... missing retry or so.

has anybody seen this problem as well? is there a chance that an expert has a look at the code an see if a fix or workaround could be done.

thanks.

I had similar problem with my et9500 together with unicable lnb (well known for et9x00 series btw),

for et the fix is to change 2 values using satelliteequipmentcontrol plugin as follows:

delay_after_change_voltage_before_switch_command=75
delay_after_last_diseqc_command=100

not sure if it helps for vuduo2 also, but you can try...

Hi!
This thing is hiding in the NimManager.py file, that is not updated properly by PLi Team.
At the moment I'm working with one other problem there (related with the same file, but not with unicable improvement), but, in my opinion, is today the best support with openatv.
You could try to see if your problem has been solved with software OpenATV team? I am sure the answer is Yes. But it is difficult for me to add, besides I do not have the unicable.
I decided to mention it, because I currently deal with this file.

currently i'm testing with diseqc and diseqc retry activated in the tuner settings.

no idea, whether this makes any difference for unicable.

If you are able, please test unicable with ATV and give here results - OK or NOK.

If this resolves the problem, I am afraid ATV resolved the problem similarly, nasty...

well it resolved the problem for me - on et9500,
on vuduo2 it apparently didn't help...

and I'm not sure why increasing slightly above delay values should be considered that 'nasty' /?/ ;)

I looks like a workaround for a driver or hardware issue.

yep, it looks so...
but for me it's not a dirty hack, in the end, this advanced satellite-equipment-control plugin is designed exactly for such fine tuning, isn't it?

well, correct me if I'm wrong, but, actually someone one time decided to set default values of all of these settings using specific hardware / drivers etc, and they don't necessarily need to be fully compatible with all other hardware /?/

or, these default values follow some general standard?

ATV has done a lot of work there, which is not at all easy reading, Tricky stuff the unicable related things. This is not to add a few lines, but complex changes and it seems that there is someone who knows well what he is doing.

ATV and openMips reworked unicable almost completely and added JESS.

The sec-sequences are also adjusted for different unicable standards (used by different lnb- or matrix-models).

I always thought that adenin created JESS patch for Enigma2 and ATV used that.

And here you clearly can see they are adapting timing issues etc...

https://github.com/o...lib/dvb/sec.cpp

Brrrrr you need tons of LNBs to get this really good fine tuned the way it is build now there...I suggest it can be done in a less hacky and complicated way...

Now we have perfect FBC... but still some Unicable LNBs where we need to adjust timing stuff for.... Hopefully those who have Unicable installation might help us here.

Yes - and he did 95% of the changes there.
