So why has any of this only stopped it from working only for the last few days ?

Up until then it worked perfectly,so unless these have changed recently it cannot be this.

Ian.

Most probably the site you are connecting now uses SNI. Check with that utility: https://www.fairssl.se/en/ssltest

(it has sni checkbox)
Wavefield T90: 0.8W - 1.9E - 4.8E - 13E - 16E - 19.2E - 23.5E - 26E - 33E - 39E - 42E - 45E on EMP Centauri DiseqC 16/1
Unamed: 13E Quattro - 9E Quattro on IKUSI MS-0916

Thanks athoik

But again,if this were true it wouldnt work on any other images either and on all other images its still fine.

And I can assure you that at the time that mx3l fixed the HTTP timeout issue it was indeed still working with Pli too as this was one of the sites that I tested his fix upon.

Thanks WanWizard,

ATV is using;

pyOpenSSL - 0.13.1-r3

python-cryptography is not present but python-crypt - 2.7.9-r1 is.

We're using pyOpenSSL 0.13, and python-crypt 2.0.1.

It is quite possible that ATV is using a newer OE, we will introduce one when we release OpenPLi 5.

I guess it is the known python SNI issue. Master-next has newer python with SNI included.

Other images use other versions. And athoik already said that in newer versions SNI is included.

Ah ok I understand now.

You think that this site has recently introduced the use of SNI and this feature is not yet included in Pli 4.0 but it is already included in other Enigma2 images.

This does make sense if true.

Ian.
