I think that some users not know why, so many developers are working on different open source.
Why? Due to profits. Different types of profits. For example:
- experience
- reputation

experience + reputation  == better job.

When you worked on gstreamer than you can add to the CV:
- gstreamer developer
and, so on.

About E2 no one heard. This is very old not popular project.
No one cares.

So, if someone make something than he make not for profits but for users.

Of course some teams are sponsored and get free STBs have paypal donation but this is not my cases.

@samsamsam

I think second post in this thread by @MiLo tells everything, we just need to create pull request for ffmpeg recipe in openpli-oe-core, Openpli will not do it for us.

regarding serviceapp:

I did serviceapp mainly for my purposes, but want it to share with community, since I think it could be useful. And as you say It shouldn't be considered as a replacement for servicemp3, since there are many things missing. Take it just as nice alternative.

@mx3L

Yes you are right. But, as you know I am not familiar with bb.

serviceapp is great alternative and very stable alternative :)

But apparently not everyone understands this.

And everyone is welcome to add missing functionalities.

SSS

This probably should be understood as a joke.
Even in this topic anyone can read how nice it is to discuss and cooperate with you.  :)

@Taapat

Because I not agree to return to old not stable architecture of the libeplayer?

You are referring to this merge request:

https://github.com/s...mment-214780320

?

Anyone can read why I not agree to merge your changes.

SSS

If you want to propose a change, nothing beats a patch or pull requests in explaining what you want changed.

If you want something changed in a "core" openembedded component, I can help get a patch for OE integrated.
