Hello I have set environment to crosscompile applications for vusolo2 mipsel.

 

I use devshell to compile transmission 2.92. Configure command succeeds

How can I tell compiler to use libraries from ~/vu/openpli-oe-core/build/tmp/sysroots/vusolo2/usr/lib/ instead of /usr/lib ?

I know I can use symbolic links because it worked for earlier error for libgnutls.la but I dont like this solution.

forgot to mention it was built for openpli 5, not sure if it will work with openpli4

 

but the easiest way is to set up an openpli 4 build environment (you can find guides in the forums) and to copy the 2.92 BB file to the proper place and build the feed

I know idea of bb files. However I cannot localize bb file for default transmission version from my env. When I run

 

MACHINE=vusolo2 bitbake transmission it successfully produces version 2.84. I'd like to update bb receipe  with your bb file to build 2.92 version

I also asked how you figured out how to write bb receipe? any tutorial ?

put it into meta-openpli/recipes-connectivity/transmission

if there are multiple version, the bigger one will be autoselected

Of course it works for openpli 4 and 5. Processor architecture is the same. I have found  meta-openpli/recipes-openpli/images/openpli-enigma2-feed.bb where transmission is mentioned in OPTIONAL_PACKAGES. Maybe default bb for transmission is downloaded from internet while run command?

Thank you default transmission bb is actually in meta-openpli/recipes-connectivity/transmission

Much simpler than that, transmission is in the feed, you don't have to compile it...

I know but something is wrong with version 2.84 available via feed because it pauses torrents randomly. So I wanted to compile newest version and gain with it some interesting knowledge.

Just change the existing recipe to that version. Build it using 'bitbake transmission' and then install it on your box.

Test it. Really, please test it. Don't just expect others to test or validate for you.

If it works create and post a patch, or create a pull request on github. Then the rest of the world can also use the newer version.

MiLo I am not expecting anyone to test it until I do it on my own. I am preparing bb for 2.92 but I want to enhance it to it takes time. I will let you know when it is ready and I will ask then about way of working. If should I firstly push it to git or something.

Hi I eventually prepared transmission 2.92 bb. I updated transmissiond and added python Extension to control daemon with remote. May I push it to repo? I am not a git expert. Could someone provide me a set of commands to give ? I know I have to make commit but dont know command to push to git remote.

I havent seen this management plugin earlier in openpli feed:) I thought it was only availiable on old sh4 boxes. However I made a mix of both two above in one bitbake with few changes in files location in file system. If someone considers it usable then I can make push alternative feed. There it is:

Could you please share also the default password for web ui. I am fighting a while to replace the password in the settings,json but it is going to be overwritten. Of cause I stopped the daemon.
