We don't do multiboot.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

A good multiboot should be capable of "installing" a real image...

I understood...
We need to find a way to install images approx the way it is done like here first... (but then better streamlined with 1/4 of the code). It takes time to make a good implementation....

Pedro uses ofgwrite to flash backups. It should be similar to the flash_online.py. Maybe with less code as he cannot download new images from the server...

In flash_online.py ofgwrite is indeed used...
Downloading images from the box and install them is for OpenPLi a new option (before othe say it OpenATV has for years)... 
But when tar.gz images are mandatory here we need to arange also stuff on our build servers...
