Good Morning.

How do I deactivate the new "OpenPLi" Screensaver? I couldn't find it anywhere. Looks like this screensaver has been implemented as of yesterday. It also kicks in, when playing a stream in the HbbTV Mediacenter, as it probably thinks that there is an open Menu on the screen. That really sucks after a while...

Thanks in advance.

On the HbbTV Mediacenter of VU?... The it does not use a proper infobar (at least not the infobarSeek stuff). If so then sorry... then I trigger another VU-anoying thing...

The ET9K HbbTV is performing well as far I tested.

it can be disabled via the sleeptimersetup.

Thanks a lot. That was exactly what I was looking for. I disabled it now, so it doesn't disturb while playing a stream out of the HbbTV Mediacenter.

Great support littlesat. Thanks.

Edit: To answer your question: Its a et9x00 and HbbTV-Mediacenter-ZDF.

I meant the HbbTV Mediathek, not Mediacenter. Sorry for the confusion. Screensaver kicks in when playing a stream out of the HbbTV-Mediathek.

I do not know a HbbTV mediatek plugin??? Where did you get if from?

The Mediathek plugin I suggest we have on our feeds does use the MovieInfoBar and thefore I suggest it should do the seeks aswell...

@littlesat,

I'm talking about the HbbTV Plugin for Xtrend which you start with the red button. Then you move to the mediathek of the channel (for example to ZDF mediathek). Then you start a stream and watch it for 5 (default) minutes. If the screensaver is active it will kick in after five minutes because it obviously thinks that there is a active menu in the background.

Hope that explains the problem. However, since you told me how to disable that feature, it's fine with me.

And when you start the stream with the playbutton instead of OK? (that is how I usually start streams with that plugin and then seeks could be possible).

It is closed source so I'm not able to change that specific plugin.... and of course there could be a risk that plugins playing video's that are not using the seek stuff from infobar that do continue with the screensaver timer...

Will test this later and let you know asap. I always used the OK-Button to start the streams.

I see. Like I said before, as long as I can disable the feature, I'm fine.

Thanks.

That is how I did test it... ;) So I'm 99% sure this should be the fix for you. Then you also able to pause streams, skip them etc....

@littlesat, is there any reason that the screensaver is burried in the "Sleep Timer Configuration" menu, as opposed to say, the "User Interface", "AV Settings" or "Customise" menu ?

Reactivated the screensaver and tested streaming from HbbTV>mediathek using the playbutton. The screensaver does not appear when the stream ist started with the playbutton instead of OK-Button at all. You were right, it works fine that way. :)

Thanks.

Yesterday i noticed that current time on lcd display is not updating when in standby mode. Since screensaver is enabled by default i suppose that this new feature is/was the reason?
Looked like stb crashed - after pressing any key on remotecontrol current time was shown again ...
