the unstable OpenPli DM800 images are more stable and up to date then our public release jade which is almost or more them 6 months old

You use OpenPLi now? You can't update Jade3 to OpenPLi as far as I know.

the differens is i have settings, cams, Multiquickbutoon etc. when i flash new, i must update new settings,cams etc

it's the same in my opinion

after a clean flash you need to install new things like settings, cams etc, and not update as these things are not standard in the image

updating is installing a new version over a existing package that is allready available.

For an 800 you don't need dreamup (unless in emergencies), you flash an E2 box using the network, via the webinterface.
