/etc/tuxbox/config/oscam-experimental
and its working 100% when ever I try and run the same oscam native it appears not to load the config file so Im guessing it needs to be in another location dose can anyone please tell me this location as it appears to be image dependent
thanks

you can set the files in any folder that you want, but then you should start oscam with
/usr/bin/oscam -c /yourfolder
many SVN will seek in another folder as /etc/tuxbox.

much better to use /usr/local/etc and point your softcam in /etc/init.d/softcam.oscam to it !
/usr/bin/oscam --config-dir /usr/local/etc

/usr/bin/oscam --config-dir /usr/local/etc
That might be ok for a pc if You also change the owner off /usr/local/etc on a pc.
For an enigma2 box the standard config location is mostly /etc/tuxbox/conf but creating and using /usr/local/etc is a very bad idea.
It is off course you're personal choice.
and the start up command for oscam = /usr/bin/oscam -c /etc/tuxbox/config/
but --config-dir maybe used ass well

yes this is a choice but you can also make an alias link

Hi,
Juste have a look at:
cat /etc/init.d/softcam
And you will see how OScam is started with which parameters.
