Hi,

I have ET9100. I also have a 1TB external USB HDD from iomega. I have partitioned it into 2 partitions of 500 GB each. One partition is the mac partition used for time machine backups. The second partition is windows FAT32 partition. I want to use the windows partiton (which is empty) for my recordings. Is it possible to do this without erasing my mac partition?

Yes, manually format it. For the ET boxes, the best settings are:

mkfs.ext4 -O bigalloc,sparse_super,dir_index -C 262144 -T largefile -N 262144 -m0 /dev/sda2

Assuming that /dev/sda2 is the second partition on the disk.
