Hi.

I´m very new in this software. I´m trying to read the forum to make everything right first time but I am still a bit confused.

I´m about to install a DM500HD with OpenPli.

When i press the down button at the same time as I power on the box I get the following screen. (see attached)
Posted Image
It looks like I have SSL BUILD #80 and because of that I can´t install the Latest OpenPli.

Should the following steps for me be:

- Press Firmware upgrade and upgrade with a file named secondstage-dm500hd-84.nfi that I have downloaded?
The size of this file is 145 KB.

- I have also downloaded OpenPLi-3.0-beta-dm500hd-20121030.nfi from this site and this I think should be executed afterwards. This file is 42 600 KB. Do I choose Firmware upgrade there aswell? I have tried to run this file before but I get some kind of error. Wrong image or something and when I look around think this is because of the old SSL version.

Is this the 2 steps I need to do?

Grateful if somebody could help me.

Yes, same procedure, first SSL then reboot & press down button again.
SSL will go very fast, image takes more time.

Does the files look like the correct ones? I have heard that if you install the wrong files you won´t be able to restore it again.

The SSL "looks" like the correct one, but I don't think anybody else knows what you downloaded or where you downloaded from. I think clone files "usually" have the clone name in the filename, sim2, ferarri, etc...

If you downloaded the 500hd SSL from dreamboxupdate.com, it "should" be correct.

Does anyone know if the "good Bouquetts" I have NOW,

in a dream 500HD (Enigma 2.1) disappeared if I use - Dreamup via cable USB - to FLASH a new image ex. Enigma 3?

Or is there any way of saving my BOUQUETS in my Pc before flashing Enigma 3?

It seems that some images come with the Bouquetts done is it right?

Thank you experts - Sorry (I´m an "ignorant" on this matter)

Welcome to the PLi support board.
I would suggest that you first save your bouquets on your PC. In that case you're certain that your settings are backed up. As I don't own a DM500HD I can't give you any more advice. ;)

Many answers to your question can be found in our wiki: Just one click away from this "solutioncentre".

If I had all the knowledge I had no questions at all.

My personal preference is DBedit (DreamboxEdit), but there are other Bouquet Editors also (BouquetWizard, EnigmaEdit, etc...). I assume any one of them can backup your channel list to your PC and tranfer it back to a new image...
