Hello, have you got any expirience with ALi mm3329?
At South America, "Probox" is a very popular DVB/FTA receiver, most of its boards include this processor, which I think runs MIPS (the FLAPS tool used for programming MIPS CPUs with EJTAG supports it).

as far as i know those are cheap STBs for watching hacked channels with moresat firmwares
