My HDD seems to have vanished after a recent update.

Have there been any other reports of this happening, or is it only me?

If I look in settings the HDD is being seen but nowhere else.

I had lots of recordings, I hope I have not lost these.

Is there anything I can do / try to get my VU to show the HDD again?

Using DCC and FTP'ing to the VU, the folders media / HDD is not there!

I had the same problems on my vuduo. After a warm reboot the harddisk wasn't always detected directly. Mounting it afterwards usually works (mount /dev/sda1 /media/hdd).

if you are using ts panel than that is the problem, deinstall it and reflash

Yes, I have TSpanel installed.

Is there any other way of getting the HHD to be seen and retrieve all the recordings without doing a reflash of the image?

you are not the only one with this problem there are several threads in the forums, also in dutch forum
anyway you need to remove ts panel and to completely remove it you need to reflash

Your he'd recordings should be OK still after flash

Yes my recordings were still there after a flash.
