When I want to cancel a single timer-record event, I have to delete the timer.

When I have a repeated timer it gives the option to cancel current event, but not to delete future events (excellent).

could Pli add an option to do something similar for single timer events ?

exp: book a single timer-rec from epg, watch program then discover it is series and want to repeat by normal timer functions. Watch single timer-rec event and want to stop recording (exp adverts or program break) but don't want to lose (Delete) the timer. ?

You may change (by editing the timer)  the single timer to a repeated timer and than have the options you want.

@clweb thanks. But this not the point i am trying to get two.

EXP:  Scheduled/Repeat timers work ""my words "excellent"".

however to stop a single timer recording ,press red, delete timer, confirm delete, return to program, etc

using the system that work's so good on the repeat/scheduled timers is better.

Using my logic (not the best in the world) if I make ALL my recordings "Series and/or Repeat" not only this allow me to cancel AT WILL the current recording, but also this tell me of a conflict.

ps this is probably relevant to single tuner stb's

The patch is not hard to do.
The question is, who besides you also need this option?

@Dima73, thank You,

I can only suggest that, if i am the only person that finds the above process a little tedious,

I will hold my tongue.

But you need to know.

If the timer  disabled, the recording is stopped.

If the timer is enabled  again, it will be a new  recording (new file).
