Hallo,

I cannot confirm the ">".... Is it possible to post a snall video of this behaviour?

But indeed the display will identify a recording sign as the drivers do think a normal recording is started (recording without immedeate pause = normal recording for them). It is not enigma's 2 task in this case to fix this display stuff...

Hi littlesat,

but I can confirm it ;-)
He means not the display (=vfd). He means the on screen display. And there you can see the ">".
I think it should be easy to fix. But I don't have much time...

Hi,

Anyway...

I added a screenshot. The ">" and "0:00" appears in the left upper TV screen, when the build-in permenant timeshift plugin starts.

Wouldn't that fix the problem? I cannot test it at the moment.

">" is not shown with this patch, but "timeshift buttons" don't work properly.
So it's a little bit more difficult than I thought...

Hello,

Permanent Timeshift is now starting without showing ">" and "0:00" on the TV screen, only "Rec" switches on in the box display. That´s how it´s meant to be.

Thank you @littlesat!

Indeed an options in the instant recording menu for the timeshift it would be nice to add all options we normaly have for instead recording...

So having the option we have now... and in addition the same but that will also store what we have currently in the timeshift available.

But when made a started timeshift a recording this should somehow be changed fully to a normal recording... (so we also do not need those double recordings).

Hi littlesat,

I'm sorry, but I really cannot follow what you are trying to say. (BTW isn't this supposed to be a German thread?)

Anyways, what I was saying is: what are all those otions for instant recording good for anyway?

In my opinion, the instant record button should do what is says: Record instantly and nothing more.

If I want to change the length afterwards I could edit the time via the time menue.

All other recording are much better to handle from the epg.

When I program an event that has aleady started I naturally also want to add everything that is already in the timeshift buffer.

Events that haven't started yet can easily programmed normally.

Cheers

Hi together,

the problem is, that timeshift recording is special. It's not handled like a normal recording. So it's not so easy to convert it into a

normal recording. That's why I told you the workaround and I fear that you need to live with it (very) long...
