Yes I will probably update it at some time.

The new driver (dm8000) is already committed but the build failed tonight.

And now it succeeded, it's available now.

I have 8000, do I need to to update from dreambox update site or I can just update software from openpli directly to my box?
You can only update from Openpli otherwise it would be flashing

Hello,
I'm sorry but I do not see any difference in AC3+: to listen to it I must switch to an AC3 channel before going to an AC3+ channel.
That worked the same way with PLI images since I use it (march 2013).
I have upgraded mit PLi4 image and also flashed the last image.
With a last DMM image, I have the AC3+ sound no matter what channel I was before.
Would be nice if PLi images would work the same way on my DM8000: i like the PLI image.
Anyway, happy new year to the PLI team and all the members of the community.

@clweb, it is discussed many times, a (two lines) patch was created also to support "abnormal" DMM choose (use search), but OpenPLi choose not to mess any more the code with special (one manufacture only) patches.
It's fair choise (to punish DMM for their choose to closed their enigma source) but at the end it's the end users that got punished, because they choose DMM and not X.|X.....
PS. Same story is happening also with VU+ (search for keyboard and wma/wmv)
PPS. You can compile image your self or get a patched binary (and flag keep)

just for my peace of mind is this AC3+ is only for DM8000 or for all the other box the like DM800se and DM800??

But I've committed the new drivers for the other receivers as well. No guarantee it does anything useful, it's only on request.

latest available build 4.0 for dm800se is dated 20131230 - new driver update was comitted on 20140102
btw dm800se ac3 suppport was added end of september to drivers, but as stated in post #11 only working on dmm closed source based images :X

There was an issue in our automated build process, Milo is looking into it. At the moment it seems to run again, so expect new images online soon.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

DM5620, DM500S, DM600, DM7000, DM7020, DM7025, DM800, DM8000, ET9200, ET6500, ET7500, ET8500, VU+DUO, VU+ULTIMO, GB800SE, GB800HD all with OpenPLi
Only the DM5620 went off in 2012 ! DM500S, DM600, DM7000 & DM7020 have been sold in 2014.
